SILVIO SIRCANA
Since 1974 Silvio Sircana deals with the fields of communication, media relations and institutional relations for major companies in the private and public sectors. Among his multiple positions, he has been Head of Press Office and responsible for coordinating the Press of IRI, chaired by Romano Prodi, Director of External Relations of Italtel, Executive Vice President of Hill & Knowlton Italy, Head of Communications for the Venice Biennale, Director of External Relations and the advertising department of the State Railways.
In 1997 he founds, along with Livia Aymonino, the communication company "Sircana & Partners", being its Chairman and treating a wide range of clients. In 1995 he temporarily resigns from every held position, organizing the election campaign of the prime minister candidate, Romano Prodi.
In 2005, after running the Prodi campaign, he becomes the Spokesman of the Government and Deputy. From April 2008 to March 2013, he is Senator of the Republic, member of the eighth Commission of Public Works, Transports, Infrastructure and Communications, as well as member of the XIV Commission of Community Policies and of the Schengen Committee.
